Doug Hamilton My name is Doug Hamilton, and I’m running for the position of Director of Local Chapters. I’ve held the post of Regional Coordinator in one of the best regions in IPMS, Region 1 for about 8 years, and have been asked to step up to DLC. My goals, if elected to DLC is to continue the work started by my predecessors, which is to streamline the rechartering and event registration processes and provide a very high level of service to all IPMS/USA chapters. I believe the position of Director of Local Chapters is important within the IPMS structure in that its service based, and devoted to assisting our chapters and members get the most out of the many benefits our Society offers. Professionally, I’m employed by the City of Stamford and hold the title of Marine Supervisor. My job here includes managing three city owned marinas that have about 750 wet slips with a staff of 8. I’m married, and have two grown children, and one grandson. If elected to the position of DLC, I’ll work hard to maintain the high level of service that has become associated with this job, and will also work with the RC Corps to keep good lines of communication open between the Executive Board and the member IPMS chapters.
