James Woody Hello fellow modelers, I am seeking election to Historian/Publications Director in the upcoming Executive Board election. This is the position that I held two years ago when we revamped the Journal. My day job, in business consulting, allows me to bring a strong process and organizational background to the HPD position and proved useful in our revamping of the Journal in my last term. Our current Journal staff, of which I am the Executive Editor, has done a fantastic job in revitalizing the magazine to be something truly worth while for our membership money. I fully intend to continue building on the work I started during my last term, while identifying areas that, with your help, we can improve. We have already begun initiatives which will enhance the Journal even further in the coming months. It is my strong desire to increase the content, the diversity of articles and the opportunities that the publication brings to the membership. The current Journal staff supports my election as HPD and I hope that you will also. I would appreciate your vote to allow my staff and me to continue the work that we have been doing. It has been our belief from the beginning that the Journal’s Executive Editor and the HPD should be the same person so that the Journal has a direct link to the Executive Board. With your vote the future of the Journal looks bright and promising.
