To: All IPMS Chapters and IPMS members
From: IPMS Executive Board

One of the benefits for which IPMS is known is the “Make-N-Take” program. Without cost to chartered chapters or participants, IPMS has relied on donations from manufacturers and distributors to provide models for Make-N-Take programs sponsored by clubs or members. Thousands of kits and associated building supplies have been distributed since the program began.

Manufacturers have ceased supplying these kits to IPMS free of charge, but several have continued to support our efforts by providing a much appreciated and large discount on the purchase of models. Even with this discount, the last order for 900 kits priced out at $3,908.89. If IPMS were to continue supplying kits and supplies at this rate in 2009, the cost for Make N Take could approach the $10,000 figure. Shipping costs have also increased recently, with charges last year totaling $961.97. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

In the past, various clubs have provided financial support specifically for the Make N Take program. Your club is invited to join this select group. If your club or you as an individual member wish to donate to the Make-N-Take program please feel free to send your contribution directly to the National Office Manager at the address provided below. IPMS will continue to recognize donor clubs and individuals in Society’s printed and electronic media.
