Vice President, James Kelley

As VP of IPMS Three Rivers Pittsburgh for the past 2 years, I've been witness to many things positive to the presentation of the hobby to the public. Not the least of which was the recent "Models for Our Troops" drive. At the July meeting, last Friday, July 6th, our Club members donated no less than 420 models,40 containers of paint,20 containers of glue, and numerous other modeling supplies. We literally stuffed a Chrysler van top to bottom!
We were also recently the hosts of the highly successful 2007 Region 4 Convention (over 500 models). Last year, (2006) we manned a table at the Wings Over Pittsburgh Airshow, replete with built models and IPMS membership flyers. Club member Bill Dedig set up a display at the Shaler Public Library commemorating Polish squadrons Attached are pics of the Models For Our Troops drive, and the R4 Convention. We also have a popular website (www.threeriversipms.org) that regularly features New Product reviews and online builds. We also feature a popular members' forum.

We meet the 1st Friday of the Month at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Whitehall, PA., at 1930 hours. More than one founding member still regularly attends meetings. Our meetings regularly feature a business portion, "Show-N-Tell", and member Demonstrations. Our Club is 34 members strong, and our recently re-incarnated Newsletter has adapted into a "rolling" blog format.
