I was Born in Cold Spring, New York, and then moved at the age of 1 to Wappingers Falls, New York. I have two boys that are 16 and 19; I am engaged with my fiancée having two children of her own at the ages of 5 and 9. We have a Dog, two cats, and two Bullhead Catfish for pets. I am employed by a Town Highway Dept and am the Loader operator during the winter months, and the summer months, when I am not driving 10-Wheelers of Blacktop to the Paver, I am in charge of Road signs. I also have been involved in the Volunteer Ambulance, and Fire Departments for 26 years serving as Lieutenant, Captain, Company Chief, and Recording Secretary. I am serving my last year as President of the IPMS Mid-Hudson Chapter, and have been a member of the Club since 1998. I have been a member of IPMS only a few years, not because I didn’t want to join, just never got myself around to it. I am also a Member of the Town of Newburg Model Car Club. I joined the Mid-Hudson club because I caught a flyer about their annual show. I was into scale modeling, but had no idea there was actual clubs out there on the hobby. So I joined up the day of the show and been finding how to improve my modeling skills ever since. For the Mid-Hudson Club, I also serve as the Website Administrator updating our club page as often as I can. You can see this website at www.HVHMG.com. I also run my own personal website at www.TholiansWeb.com. For IPMS, I have Chaired the 2007 Region 1 Convention, (NorEastCon07), and have written a few articles for the IPMS Journal with my Darth Vader figure making the Front Cover page of one of the issues. I have been modeling since I was a kid. My first kits were probably the 18” AMT/Ertl Starship Enterprise and an Aurora Godzilla and King Kong. But I can’t nail down which was my first. But I was so heavy into Star Trek and Science Fiction that it had to be one of those. I like to model Science-Fiction, Figures, Automotive, Some Armor, Some Ships, but never liked to do aircraft Don’t know why, But only one airplane in my life and that was a Blue Angels F-18 I did with my Son |
