AFV Modeller

AFV Modeller Magazine #18

Reviewed By Bruce Drummond, #37265

Here is how I see it.  This is an imported model magazine from England and distributed by Wise Owl Worldwide Publications in California for the U.S.

This is a bi-monthly magazine and features articles on armored vehicles with "how-to" pictures and corresponding text.  The article pictures are in color.  I’ve read one or two issues before doing this review and I have noticed that they jump right into what we all crave the most, reviews without pages of ads or additional dialogue from various types of columns, NOT even an Editors column.  It’s refreshing getting right to the source.  Most issues have at least six articles with a section named “Keeping Track” to keep us up to date with some of the new items about to be or just released.

I have heard many complaints from fellow modelers about the  various magazines and which would give the best value for their money.  I do not have the answer for your personal needs or desires, but, I can say that I find AFV Modeller is one of those which I would recommend.  Maybe the reason we get so many articles in these issues is the amount of space available from not being inundated with ads we seem gloss over.

I would recommend this magazine for added reference.  It may help in advancing your kit building a step further.  See it!  Buy it!
