I have not enjoyed looking at a catalog as much as this one, since I was twelve years old and the new Sears Christmas Catalog came in the mail. PSME says it lists more than 17,500 products, including more than 2,000 new items in the 220 pages of the spiral bound book. There is something for every type of modeler, from ships to aircraft, from beginner to scratch builder. Some of the highlights are a line of motor powered hand pieces and a wide variety of their accessories, carvers, burs, cutters, brushes and drill bits. Then comes a wide variety of hand tools, pliers, saws, and knives as well as bench top tools. The biggest part of the catalog is devoted to hardware, scale screws, bolts, nuts and washers. The list seems endless. Everything needed for model railroading and dioramas is included. There are brass, aluminum and styrene construction materials such as tubing, sheets and strips. Specialty items include scale chain, wire, screen, cloth, and roadways. In addition, there are miniature lamps, LEDs and fiber optics. There are enough modeling supplies, that one could buy all their materials, except for kits and paints, from this one catalog. If you have ever imagined having a tool for a certain task, it is in this catalog. Looking at items with which I am familiar, and have seen in retail hobby stores, the prices are comparable. Included in my mailing was a separate catalog for Proxxon tools. This is a line of professional bench tools, such as lathes, sanders, table saws, router tables and others, which are available through PSME.
