Meteor Productions has introduced several sets of corrected turkey-featherless nozzles for the F-15’s
currently made. This review deals with set made fort he Tamiya F-15 C and E kits. Both of these kits are tremendous and build up
great OOB. The Cutting Edge sets deal with the incorrect length of the exhausts. What do you get in the set? You get two exhaust nozzles with substantial casting plus. Cut the plugs away and you are ready to use them. They insert directly into the Tamiya exhaust base from the kit and have the locating pins molded into the resin parts. The rest of the set contains the actuating arms, also cast in resin. There is some slight warping that can be corrected with the application of heat. The rest of the exhaust parts come from the kit. I have included a shot of a Tamiya kit burner next to the CE set. The dark gray part is a kit piece. The light gray is Cutting Edge and is shorter than the kit part. A very easy correction set and for those desiring a more accurate Eagle, definitely recommended. |
