Creative Displays Vehicle Display Case

Reviewed By Joe Staudt, #39453

Display cases are generally pretty much the same, and while they are awfully nice to have, they’re generally not much to get excited about. But Creative Displays has come up with an interesting one.

Most of it is pretty standard: a Plexiglas cover that sits on a mirrored rectangular base, with nicely beveled edges all around. But the base is attached to a ball joint mounted in a heavy pedestal. This allows the case to be tilted and swiveled to allow the vehicle inside to be viewed from just about any angle one would wish. To keep the vehicle from moving around inside the case, two clear suction cups with small metal brackets are supplied. The brackets hold onto the tires, and the suction cups keep the brackets (and the vehicle) in place on the mirrored base. The pedestal is made of heavy Plexiglas, and is sturdy enough to support whatever the case can hold without tipping over.

The stands come in sizes for both 1:25 and 1:18 scale vehicles. Creative Displays also makes similarly clever (though not covered) display stands for aircraft. For more information and pricing, check out their web site at www.mycreativedisplays.com.
