AFV Modeller Magazine #28

This issue of AFV Modeller reminds me why I don't subscribe to very many magazines. I prefer to be able to look before buying. That being said, this issue is once again stunningly compiled and filled with all kinds of cool stuff. However, there is only one article that even half way appeals to me. The Merkava stuff is nice and the model is well built and the close ups of the actual vehicle are and added bonus.

The magazine is sixty five pages in size, and well printed on heavy stock paper. Most of it is all color with only a few black and white photos from the WWII era thrown in. It contains seven articles and an eight page recent release section. The articles are:

  1. Desert Humvee - 1/35 Tamiya kit with added detail.
  2. Humvees In Afghanistan - Real photos of Humvees.
  3. The Hungarian National Cross - Detailed history of the national armor emblem.
  4. Merkava III - 1/35 Academy kit heavily modified with Legends kit.
  5. Merkava III - Real photos of actual vehicle.
  6. M4A3E2 - 1/35 Tamiya kit heavily modified with Blast Models conversion.

All in all, this is another great issue of a great magazine. It contains the same quality photos and well written text we've come to expect. If the articles appeal to you, then by all means get a subscription or head out to your nearest hobby shop and pick this issue up.
