I couldn't wait to start reading AFV 42 to see what else was done on the two previous builds from issue 41 which are the MAZ-537 with BTS4A and the Steel Beast which are two part builds and reviews. This issue also had another bonus treat for me. It contains a beautifully built Egyptian Zil-157 with missile trailer. The Purrfect Puma is another excellent build. I wish someone would put out a set of different tires for the 1/35 jeep kits out there. The Puma uses a set of Hussar production tires which allow for a mix match variation of thread patterns. You only get the kit supplied tires or with tire chains for the jeep. Many different times tires, like road wheels, were interchanged for a more realistic look.

  1. Tag Team Puma – build by one model builder and painted by another.
  2. Spanish BMR 600 M1 – Scratch built Spanish APC.
  3. Steal Beast Part Two – Continued Liberty Tank.
  4. Petit Panzer with a punch – Unique conversion on a Panzer I.
  5. Mighty MAZ part 2 – Continued MAZ-357 and BTS4A.
  6. Keeping Track – Latest release information.
  7. ZIL-157 – Egyptian truck and missile.
The Panzer I mounts a 37cm Flak cannon mounted on a Panzer I chassis. It is completely neat. It looks really nice. It was build off of two photographs the builder came across. This is another great issue and definitely would have been bought at the local hobby shop. I would like to thank AFV Modeller for the review sample and IPMS/USA for a place to post this review for others to see and read. If you are a tread head, like me, then this is a magazine for you.
