Issue 35 of this excellent magazine consists of five main articles:

1/ "A Diving D", Oyvind Leonsen's excellent article on building a Tauchpanzer IV in 1/35th scale, utilizing the Tristar kit as the basis for a superbly detailed model. This well written article includes 14 wartime black and white photos showing the various details unique to the Tauchpanzer IV tanks, along with very nicely rendered photos of the model under construction. An extremely useful article for anyone contemplating building this kit.

2/ "Kinetic Cat", Jason Bobrowich's article on building a 1/35th scale Canadian Leopard C1A1, utilizing the Italeri Leopard 1A4 and a host of aftermarket details from Maple Leaf Models, Eduard, Model Point and Hong Kong Creation Workshop. This is a purely modeling based article, with 27 color photos of the model under construction and various shots of the finished project, but no photos of a 1/1 Leopard C1A1 however. A great read, and the author has produced a lovely model of this distinct vehicle.

3/ "UHU", Jon Bailey's superb article outlining the development of Germany's infrared night vision system on the Sd.Kfz. 251 series. This 19-page article is a "MUST" for anyone contemplating building a model of the UHU system. The article provides a nice written developmental history, but most importantly dozens of superb photos of the UHU, both archival period shots, as well as museum shots. These include the 60cm spotlight, GG 400 generator, FG1252 etc.; a true treasure trove of photos, along with a few line drawings.

4/ Modelling the UHU: David Parker builds and super details AFV Club's excellent Sd.Kfz. 251/20 Ausf. D UHU kit. Eight pages and 4 dozen photos of the author's excellent work, including his scratch building of the (missing from the kit) generator. Again, if you have the AFV kit, this article is a "must read".

5/ "Downsizing", Mark Neville's six page diorama article incorporating a 1/48th Tamiya M4A1 Sherman rounds off the articles.

Completing the magazine is the "Keeping Track" section, 8 pages of reviews of the latest kits, after market accessories and books.

Surely this remains the best armor modeling magazine in the English language?! I can't recommend this publication highly enough. My sincere thanks to IPMS/USA and AFV Modeller for allowing me the pleasure of reviewing this superb magazine.
