In the mail today came the newest issue of Panzergraph!, Issue 14 for Autumn 2008. The more I review these magazines, the more I enjoy the cartoons and special little ditties that the publishers give the armor modeler. This time around there is a really good drawing of Vic Morrow, as Sergeant Saunders from the 1960's show, COMBAT!!! Next to him is a "German" M-47 Patton. You gotta see this! Brings back a lot of fond memories if you can remember the episode, The Duel!

A nice little addition has been a modeling tips feature. This Issue has you learning how to create trees and assorted vegetation for camouflage or dioramas using dried floral arrangements. Neat ideas and I was sure to log some into the computer for future use! There are several pages of drawings by a modeler of the July 1943 Kursk Offensive. The drawings were then used to create a series of dioramas featuring Hanomags, Tigers, Panthers and of course, T-34s. There’s some very cool stuff here and it just goes to show what you can do with your imagination.

The main feature this time around finds the Tamiya Panzer II getting the once over by the gang. From start to finish the experts provide photos that capture each step with a lot of visual information that will enable you to turn out the best model you can of this fabulous kit.

The best feature is a complete section on figure painting. You can never get enough information on this one aspect of modeling that is the one I would most like to master. This article is one of the best I've seen in a while.

Ever want to tackle the old TAMIYA classic kit of the LRDG Chevy??? Well, my friends, there's a nice article on doing just that!!! And those photo-etched tire ramps look an awful like 1/48 PSP plating

All in all, this is another keeper. You can find this magazine at better hobby shops. Remember, an investment in knowledge only makes you better. My thanks to Model Art for providing this great magazine.
