MSRP: $26.99 www.modelart.jp Panzer Graph #9 continues the tradition of excellence that one has come to expect from Model Art. This soft cover publication features 132 pages, most in color, featuring specific German WWII tanks. Upon viewing the publication one might express the concern that most of it is written in Japanese, with very little translated into English. This publication proves that a picture is worth 1,000 words (even if those words are undecipherable to most English speakers), and the average modeler will be able to glean a significant amount of information from the many excellent pictures. Tools and materials being used to finish the models are clearly shown in the photographs, so one can visit the local hobby shop and purchase the same paint and equipment used in the magazine. There are lots of Gunze and lots of Tamiya paint bottles visible. While it might be a disappointment to some that the magazine is in Japanese, I found that it was not a problem and that I enjoyed the magazine thoroughly. I recommend this magazine to not only the experienced armor modeler but also the novice. |
