MSRP: $15.95 Osprey's latest New Vanguard release is of the WWI Mark IV. Though not up my alley, this was a really neat and enjoyable read. The book is written by David Fletcher and illustrated by Tony Bryan. The book is 48 pages long and contains 40 photographs (all in black and white) and seven pages of color illustrations. The book is broken down into eight chapters where Mr. Fletcher cover the inception of the first Mark IV through its last known use. The book is very well written and easy to follow. Of particular interest are the use and battles the Mark IV took part in, the numerous variations (besides the male and female), use of captured Mark IV's by the Germans, and its short career. I would like to thank Heather Feinstein of Osprey Publishing and IPMS/USA for the ability to read and review this fine book. |
