This being my first encounter with this Japanese language modeling magazine I was quite impressed with the quality of not only the printing but the photography contained within this issue.

The main focus of this issue is related to GT sports cars with over 20 pages dedicated to models from Nissan, Honda, Lamborghini and Ferrari. The built up kits are beautifully photographed and there are numerous close up shots of the incredible detail on these kits. Add to that a nicely done archive of kits in the same GT discipline that shows a further 45 kits that are available to fill out your starting grid, plus two pages of shots of the real cars in action; this is a road racer’s dream.

Review articles include:

  • A five page spread of a VERY nicely done 1/350 scale Hasegawa Battleship Mikasa with over 20 close up and construction shots of an OOB build.
  • Tamiya’s new 1/48th P-47M with built up and two aircraft color plates.
  • Minicraft’s Douglas DC-8-73 in DHL markings.

There is also a 2 page color illustration on the Zero fighter showing detailed drawings of tail wheel, cockpit side panels, radios and other details.

Feature articles include three on the Panzer III Ausf L .One in 1/72 scale from Revell in Desert diorama complete with incredible detail and even a camel. Another is Tamiya’s 1/48th in Panzer grey. And a third also from Tamiya in 1/35th in a nice two-tone yellow and green pattern.

All in all, this issue has something for everyone. Thanks to Model Art Magazine for the review sample.
