MSRP: 1050 yen (approximately $11) 160 pages, softbound Website: www.modelart.jp When I volunteered to do this review I didn’t know what to expect. I had never heard of Model Art Magazine. When I received my copy I quickly discovered that the publication comes from Japan. The publication has 152 pages of mostly Japanese text (some in English though) and is printed on glossy stock. The magazine reminds me of Koku Fan. With lots of full-color pictures and some in black-and-white some good reference photos in there too. There are also a lot of advertisements. I may not be able to read Japanese, but the pictures can give you clear indication of what’s coming in the near future. It’s a shame it is not printed in English because this could be a great addition to my modeling subscriptions. I’d like to thank IPMS/USA and Model Art for the opportunity to review this magazine |
