MSRP $9.95 When John Noack listed this in one of his “come and get it” e-mails, I jumped all over it. When I got it, though I was a little disappointed, because it didn’t have as much info on it as I would have hoped for. IPMS’s own Rusty White is the producer of this mini CD, with Ken Goldman as the author. There are eleven pages, in PDF format, including narratives on building and displaying submarines, with 20 accompanying photographs. Mr. Goldman covers all kinds of submarines, from the Japanese suicide subs to U-Boats to modern subs. He also shows how to build a sub in a bottle, with the periscope sticking out of the bottle. There’s a lot of info in these eleven pages, but it makes you want more. His models look fantastic and the techniques sound very easy, but they just can’t be covered adequately in this number of pages. In talking about one of his diorama, he mentions a product called “Das Pronto” for making the water. Anyone know where I can get some in Alabama?
