Archer Fine Transfers

MSRP: $9.95 It seems like something new comes out every day at Archer Fine transfers, and they're all top notch. This particular sheet of dry transfers is really small, but if you sit down and read the instruction sheet, (heaven forbid!) you'll find that there are markings on the sheet to do a minimum of six different Stug III's. You can model Stug III B's 14, 24 and 33; C No. 13, D No. 1 and E No. 34. All vehicles are from the Sturmgeschurz-Abteilung 192, and all are from the Russian Front June 1941 to March 1942. All but No.13 use the yellow Death's Head insignia. No. 13 uses the red Death Head. Sadly, though, there are only enough crosses for two vehicles. These are the standard high quality dry transfers that we have come to expect from Archer, and they go on nicely, especially if you use a burnishing tool made for dry transfers. I have misplaced mine somewhere in my hobby room, so I need to go back to Hobby Lobby to get another. I started out using a brand new artist's blending stump to apply mine, and they went on quite well. I finished up using a paint brush with a smooth rounded end to burnish them on. I should have practiced some before I did them, because I messed up a couple of the transfers. As I said, there aren't many on this sheet, and the ones I messed up had no duplicates. Just like decals, though, if your surface is not clean and well prepared, they won't stick very well. The instruction sheet gives a really good set of instructions on how to work with dry transfers, including how to turn them into decals.
