This latest release is one of Aires simpler detail sets, providing an alternative to the kit air brake of the Academy 1/48 Mig-29. Cast in durable gray resin, the set includes the upper and lower brake, actuators and the parachute storage tube. The parts are designed to be a one for one replacement for those in the kit and the detail is far nicer, delicate and complete than that the kit parts. It is a good value for the price.

However, this is a set that you will only really need if you plan on posing the airbrake assembly open, which is normally open only during landing or during maintenance. If you are doing the works on a Mig-29 model, or you want to add some visual interest, than this fine set is an affordable additional detail.
