1/72 FG.1/FGR.2 Phantom Exhaust Nozzles For the Fujimi kit

MSRP: $23.95 Web Site: www.aires.cz Just the thing for your newly re-issued Fujimi 1/72 Spey Phantom! This set is in effect a scaled-down version of the previously-released 1/48 set, and as such is composed of a total of 6 nicely cast light gray resin parts, plus two photoetch parts. Installation of these new parts involves removing a shelf that helps to brace the fuselage halves before the addition of the under tray; having completed construction of the body of the model, it can be safely removed without compromising the structural integrity of the model, and the resin inserts will fit perfectly. As can be seen from the comparison photos, the new resin parts offer a great deal more detail than the kit parts, and also give greater and more realistic depth to the region. Looking at some appropriate photos of the back end of a British Phantom, these inserts really look the part and I cannot find fault with them. Incidentally, while the packaging states these are for the FG.1 and the etched fret says FGR.2, both marks had the same engines, and so the set is appropriate for both the FG.1 and FGR.2 These are a worthy accessory for your 1/72 British Spey Phantom and I can highly recommend them.
