1/72 Bf-109G-10 Cockpit Set For the Revell kit

MSRP: $13.95 Resin multi-media cockpit set for the Revell Messerschmitt Bf-109G-10 kit. Aires has a fine line of resin aircraft cockpits and detail accessories and now this Czech Republic company gives the modeler a multi-media cockpit set that raises the bar once again. Designed specifically for the reasonably priced 1/72 scale Messerschmitt Bf-109G-10 by Revell, the instructions advise you to thin the kit plastic (and probably the resin set as well) for a perfect fit. You could probably use this in other Bf-109G-10 kits with enough thinning and dry fitting. The nine grey resin parts include the G-10 style bucket seat cast as part of the cockpit tub, detailed sidewalls, gunsight, control column, your choice of two different breech covers and 'more.' The "Galland Panzer" pilot's head armor is provided as a clear resin part with p.e. attachments. A small photo-etched fret provides the seat belt harness, instrument panel, perforated rudder pedals, trim tab wheels and chain, canopy handles and many more tiny parts. The printed acetate sheet has the instruments and the two glass panels for the gunsight. The resin can be used by any modeler, but full use of this multi-media set requires a skilled modeler with steady hands and experience with small p.e. parts. As nice as the Revell and most other 1/72 Bf-109G-10 kits are, they can all use an upgraded cockpit. Aires certainly does the trick. Thanks to Aires for the review sample.
