MSRP: $35 each www.vmdstudios.com As always, these releases are beautifully mastered and flawlessly cast in cream colored resin with no visible pinholes or warps. All are designed as direct replacements for the kit cockpits and will change the appearance of the subject from "ho-hum" to museum quality. While the Hasegawa P-47D cockpit is adequate, the Avionix corrections take detailing to a whole new level, particularly if you choose an early version with the corrugated floor. The instrument panel is a true work of art, both front and back as images show. The seat includes the belts and harnesses, as you can see, there are numerous resin parts cast separately to be added during assembly. A photo guide set of instructions is also included, but even with minimal reference material it will assemble easily using the kit instructions, without a great amount of extra effort.
