Eduard's has packaged all the things that you need to detail your Hasegawa Bf-109K. Included is an interior set, an exterior set, access panel and scribing template, seatbelts and large blotch masks.

The interior set contains three frets of photo etch and one clear acetate sheet. Included is a new pre-painted instrument panel with individual bezels, new sidewalls complete with details. Some things have to be added to kit parts and others are folded from the fret. All the interior detail is represented. One of the inaccurate things about the Hasegawa 109K kit is the interior which is actually a G-10 interior. Now you can fix yours to represent K cockpit.

One thing that isn't included in the interior set is the seatbelts, so the seatbelts set (32 592) is essential if you are going to go through all the work with the interior set. The belts are pre-painted and in this scale the buckles are separate. This means you are going to have to thread them together. In this scale it will look more realistic. This set is essential even if you were building the cockpit out of the box.

The two fret exterior set upgrades the oil coolers, wheel well details, brake lines, flaps and exhaust shields. This set will greatly accurize the kit. The wheel wells will properly modify your K to represent the larger bulges of the late war wheels. One nice addition is the option to close the tail wheel doors, which the kit doesn't allow you to do.

If you want to show some detail on the inside of the cockpit or wings you now have a way to represent the panels. Eduard's access panels include the actual panel, as well as, the interior portion. Okay there is a slight problem, the K models fuselage access panel is slightly different shaped than the G which this set represents. Other than that this set is really nice and can add a unique look to your model. Another nice thing included in this set is the scribing template. Invariably, you will sand off the compass panel on the belly and the saddle panel in front of the cockpit. Now you can easily scribe them back where they belong. A very valuable tool.

The last set in the Big Ed set is used for painting. Eduard provides you with photo etch masks for making the mottling. There are cutouts for the tail and the supercharger. This set will be essential for a modeler who is uncomfortable with painting mottling and are very helpful. There are large tabs to hold onto so that you don't paint your fingers. There are six separate masks for the various parts of the fuselage.

All the individual sets retail for a total of $98.69. However, the BIG ED set give you a huge savings over buying all the sets individually. If your going to do a 109K you might as well do it right and this set will give you everything you need, short of canopy masks.

Highly recommended.
