Eduard has released two new sets for the 1/48 Dragon He-162. The first is a full set with detail for the entire kit. The second is a Zoom set for the adding details to the cockpit. Both sets have Eduard's excellent quality and also are colorized and are self adhesive.

The Zoom set contains a single fret of parts and is meant to be quick cockpit upgrades. Included are a new multipart instrument panel, new PE rudder pedals, seat belts and various small cockpit details. The only thing you need to sand/remove is the raised relief on the instrument panel. The rest is added on detail.

The Full set includes the entire Zoom set from above and a lot more. In all, this contains three frets of PE- two colored and one plain. For the cockpit, there is a full back bulkhead which is full of details. There are additional parts for the gun sight and seat also. There is a full PE gun bay and door with lots of details- you will need to get the MG151 gun from another kit. As part of the new gun bay is a new door. The nest set of details upgrade the main wheel well with additional parts. The remainder of the parts detail the engine adding detail such as electrical and fuel lines, relief etched plates for the engine, and all sorts of brackets. The set is very comprehensive and does require a lot of cutting and sanding to get the replacement parts in place correctly.

Both of these sets are excellent and are recommended to those wanting to add detail to an already nice kit. Eduard gives you a choice as to whether to add a little with the Zoom set or a lot with the full set. I would also like to point out one very excellent part of the Eduard web site. Attached to every thing they sell are the directions on how to build or install it and they are downloadable as PDF files. This is superb.

My thanks to John Noack, IPMS/USA and Eduard for the chance to review these gems!
