1/48 Martin Baker Mk.2D For the Classic Airframes or Trumpeter Seahawks

MSRP: Approx $3.50 www.pavlamodels.cz We have had two new 1/48 Hawker Seahawk kits in recent years, from Classic Airframes and Trumpeter. Both have featured rather indifferent seats, and so this resin replacement from Pavla is most welcome. This seat is intended for earlier mark Seahawks - MK. 2, 4, 5, 100, 101 - but the differences between this seat an the one used on the Mk.6 are slight enough that it could also be used on kits of that mark without all save the most ardent Seahawk enthusiast noticing. Molded in cream resin, the seat has some flash but this is easily cleaned up. Detail is delicate and the integral seat belts are interestingly posed. The only addition that will be needed is a fine wire grab handle above the headrest. This is another nice accessory from Pavla and is recommended for your Seahawk models.
