MSRP: $26.50 Website: www.quickboost.net Well, Quickboost did it again. This is the second time I have had the pleasure to review something from the Quickboost/Aires line. Having just finished the big Trumpeter SU-27B, I still had most of the reference material around the workbench and when I compared these seats to photos they are dead on. There are two seats per set and the seats come in two main pieces (the seat itself and the headrest) with a runner of parts for each seat. You’ll also have to add two pieces of wire to the seat. Each seat consists of 11 pieces total and assembly was very simple; just have a good razor saw to remove the chunky plug from the main seat part. After removing the plug, a little sanding goes a long way toward cleaning up these resin seats. The resin is perfect -- not too soft, not too brittle and with no air bubbles. The detail of the belts buckles and seat cushion are excellent. The instructions include a website to refer to look at actual ejection seats for color references -- very nice!

I only completed one seat for this review but I had it cut, sanded and glued together in seven minutes. No tedious fitting and trimming, I just cut, glued and voila! -- ready for paint! I cannot say enough about how nice these seats are. I would highly recommend them to anyone from novice to master modeler. They are, without a doubt, the very best seats money can buy. Fortunately, I got mine for free since I’m a member of the IPMS Reviewer Corps! I would like to thank Quickboost and IPMS for this sample. Recommended.
