1/48 Spitfire Mk IX Control Sticks
[review image] Item: QB 48 172; MSRP: $6.95

Quickboost provides two control sticks in this offering designed for any Spitfire Mk IX kit. These little gems are nicely detailed and have the triggers and all the control cables in the vertical post. These are significantly better looking than anything I've seen in a kit. It can be used on the Hasegawa, ICM or the Occidental kits. They are easy enough to use. Cut from the pour stub and a little cleanup and they are ready for paint. This little addition will add to the look of your interior, especially if you have the cockpit door open.

1/48 F6F-3 Hellcat Undercarriage Covers
[review image] Item: QB 48 174; MSRP: $8.95

The Eduard Hellcat represents a high point for the plastic modeling industry. This little jewel is wonderful to work with but there are limitations to the injection molding process. One place this manifests itself is on the landing gear doors and the attaching hardware.

The Quickboost set has a fret of photo etch with some delicate parts to attach the doors and for the landing gear struts. The actual doors are cast in resin. The four pieces of resin are cast in bubble and distortion free light grey resin. An instruction sheet is provided and shows you a clear assembly sequence. This little set will add a lot to the look of the landing gear of your Hellcat.

1/48 Junkers Ju-188 Exhaust
[review image] Item: QB 48 176; MSRP: $11.95

The Dragon Junkers Ju-188 is a really nice kit, but all nice kits can use a little help from resin. Quickboost provides an easy solution. The resin is bubble and distortion free cast in light grey. Clean up is easy with a small cut of the razor saw and a swipe of the sand paper and they are ready to go.

This release provides exhausts for both engines. All twelve of the exhaust tubes are hollowed out thus saving you a lot of time doing it for yourself. The exhausts are attached to the pour stub by a ring of resin that is easy to saw off. A little bit of painting and they are ready to go. These are a direct replacement for the kit parts and as such are easy to use.

1/48 Messerschmitt Bf-110 Radio Set
[review image] Item: QB 48 177; MSRP: $6.95

The Eduard Bf-110 sets a new standard for this venerable workhorse of the Luftwaffe. While the model is an excellent representation of the airplane limitations of the injection molding process required some detail to be a little soft. One of these areas is the radios in the cockpit. With the large canopy area this large piece is highly visible and the detail would be prominent.

Molded in bubble and blemish free light grey resin Quickboost provides you with a direct replacement for the kit part B12. The new resin part just needs to be removed from the pour stub and a little clean up with a hobby knife and sand paper. The detail is crisp and perfectly formed only needing a coat of paint to bring the detail to life.

Excellence in casting, beautiful detail, and ease of use all add up to an excellent value for the money for all these sets. Highly recommended.
