This Corsair is popular kit to build out of the box and seemingly doesn't need further enhancement. While the Tamiya kit is a great kit, there are areas that come up short in detail. I asked for the review sample to see what Quickboost was offering in enhancements. This is a simple set - you receive 6 pieces, 3 per landing gear, crisply molded in durable grey resin. So how do they compare to the kit pieces? I compared them with those of my in progress Tamiya kit. Quickboost has taken all of the kit main gear doors and further refined the detail. Most notable are the hinges, which are no larger non-descript bits of curved plastic; they are petite with added detail. The replacement doors now have a proper edge like a pressed metal door. Unfortunately I already have the front gear door in place so I couldn't do an adequate comparison. None of the Tamiya detail was lost. Will the additional detail be noticeable? Yes but I would not go to the trouble to add these nice doors unless you add in the missing hose detail in the kit wheel wells. Overall, it is a good enhancement that I recommend.
