[review image] The Quickboost range continues to deliver for those of us with a desire to have something a little better than what the kit offers. In this case, the MIG-29 pitot tube 48-148, is one of those items you will either jump on or pass over. Cast in a strong, flexible resin, this item has amazed me with it's resilience. I've tweaked it a couple of times while moving the model, and it's not bent or broken. This item was a surprisingly sturdy addition to the model, well worth the cash. You get two per package; plus microscopic airflow vanes if you are so inclined to use them. (Great for plinking into your eyes, wear eye protection!) My reference sources showed the aircraft I was modeling did not appear to require them (Thank you God) but they are there if you need them.

[review image] I started this build to use the Quickboost pitot tube; when utilized with the Pisco models corrected MIG-29 nose cone (a must-have replacement for the Academy kit's misshapen nose), the Equipage Wheel/tire set (Resin pre-painted hubs, true rubber tires, NO painting required, just drill out the resin hub and carefully superglue in place) and a Neomega cockpit (High praise for this company, cockpit components that fit without having to destroy the fuselage sides in the process of making them paper thin!), and Aeromaster decals, I now have a truly decent '29 on the shelf.

Thanks to the Folks at Quickboost for providing this item; it motivated me to build the rest of the kit!
