The Hasegawa P-40E is a really nice kit. The detail is impressive and it is the best P-40E on the market. What can you do to make yours better than the next one? How about a fully detailed engine? Is that above your level of skill? How about a partially detailed engine that requires very little effort? Sound interesting? Then Quickboost has something for you.

Molded in bubble free light grey resin Quickboost provides you with an upper engine assembly, the left engine cowling, and two separate hollowed out exhaust stubs sets. The engine is absolutely exquisite. I mean it is perfect right out of the package. Just remove the pour block from the bottom and paint and you will have a visible engine. As a bonus you get the left engine cowling panel which you don't have to fill like the Hasegawa part. This will look great in a diorama setting sitting on the ground next to your Flying Tiger. The biggest issue will be the exhaust stubs. On one side they are a one piece affair and on the other it is a three piece affair. The instructions tell you where each piece goes.

This is a great set. I can't say enough good things about this set. The only real challenge will be painting of the engine. If you can do that then you will have an eye catching addition to your Hasegawa P-40E.

Highly recommended
