MSRP: MSRP 2.50 € ($3.95) Review item provided by Quickboost ( www.quickboost.net ) This is a small resin conversion kit designed to provide an accurate tropical dust filter for a Bf-109G. Although intended for the Fine Molds kit, it will work on any good Bf-109G kit, as I found out when I decided to use it on the new Hobby Boss kit, which is basically a quick-build kit with a lot of possibilities. The resin conversion consists of four parts: a standard carburetor air intake, the tropical dust filter in open position, and two hinge mounting struts. Most kits include some kind of dust filter, but this one is cast in the open position, which gives an added touch or realism to the model. It is accurate, well done, and easy to install. My conversion was done on the new Hobby Boss Bf-109G-6 kit, which, although not highly detailed, is a fair representation of that particular airplane. I used underwing cannon gondolas from an old Hasegawa Bf-109G, and scratchbuilt the aileron balances which are not provided on the kit. The model is presented in the markings of Hauptmann Ernst Dullberg, Gruppenkommandeur, III/JG 27, based at Argos, Greece, in October, 1943. Decals were from the decal spares box.
