[review image] I was excited when Moebius Models announced their upcoming line up of models- they are filling the void left by the departure of Polar Lights, and filling it in a big way. The first of these is the classic Dr. Jekyll as Mr. Hyde kit. On looking in the box, the kit is lovely but Mr. Hyde's mouth is wide open and there is nothing in his head. It reminds me of an opera singer hitting that high note. One other thing you notice about the head is the definition of the ears and overall detailing of the head. The ears are like flat saucers. It is very good for injection molding but injection molding has its limits. What is a dedicated figure modeler to do?

[review image] Cult of Personality and Tom Parker come to the rescue with two options that can perk up Mr. Hyde. The first is an ingeniously designed mouth set that consists of a resin mouth insert that fits perfectly into styrene Mr. Hyde's head and gives him a nicely detailed mouth. You also get a new name glow box style nameplate for the kit. The second option is a gem. It includes a completely new resin head sculpted by Joy and Tom Studios representing Fredric March (who won the Oscar for this role!), providing an excellent likeness of the actor in makeup. This also includes a new movie poster style nameplate. Sculpts on the March head and mouth parts are by Joy and Tom Studios. The nameplate prototypes are by "Count" Fritz Frising.

[review image] Both of these sets are absolute drop-ins with no clean up or kit modification needed. Both are very reasonably prices especially with nameplates included. Both are very recommended with my favorite being the entire head replacement- it is just beautiful. I'd like to thank Tom Parker of Cult of Personality for the chance to review this kit. Please check out the web site as there are other conversion coming for Mr. Hyde and Cult also has add-on parts for many other kits!
