MSRP: $23.00

When John Noack gave me the opportunity to review this finished model, I jumped at the chance. This is the tenth Tiger in my collection of these remarkable completed models. For a couple of dollars more than the kit, you can purchase one already completed, with a display base and case. The workmanship is unbelievable. These are contest quality models, complete with weathering and dry brushing. How do they do it? I love 72nd scale armor, especially Dragon's many offerings, but I have yet to equal one of these fine models without spending a lot of hours bent over my bench, Opti-Visor and all. If I was to have any criticism for the model, it would be the blue 411 turret number is shiny. Note, I said shiny, not silvered.

This model is of one of the s.Pz.Abt. 506 Tigers from the Ardennes in 1944. The brown and green over yellow camouflage pattern is exquisite, and as I said before, flawless.

Did you ever wonder why there's two screw holes in the bottom of Dragon's 1/72nd scale armor chassis? It's for the two posts in the display base that are used to mount the model.

You can go to www.dragon-models.com and find the complete listing of all of these finished jewels. If you are looking for a collection, this is the way to go.

My thanks to Dragon USA for including this in their review offerings, and to John Noack for letting me add this to my Tiger collection.
