Gator's Grip Hobby Glue

MSRP: $5 Available From : Gator Masks & More ( gatorsmask.com ) Gator's Grip Hobby Glue is a home brewed acrylic glue that is non-toxic and water soluble. While sold as a photo etch glue I have tried it on various other medias such as plastic to plastic, plastic to resin and metal to metal with great results. For photo etch it only took a small dab applied with a toothpick to quickly grab the part and yet still gave some time to position it that most CA glues do not give. The initial set time is pretty quick but after a day of curing I picked up the model by the PE part with it holding hard. Excess was easily wiped away with a damp brush before it cured. Another nice application is clear parts as it dries clear and does not craze the parts. For me though the benefit of the quick grabbing with the additional positioning time was the greatest benefit as usually the parts are instantly in place before I can position them. That and it seemed like I wound up with PE stuck to me a whole lot less than normal. Guess I will have to get used to not having CA to peel off my fingers for something to do now, but I think I will handle that. I can highly recommend Gator's Grip Hobby Glue, it has now claimed a home on the frontline of my bench right in front of the CA. Thanks to extra cash in my Paypal account for the review sample.
