I don't know how many times over the years I have attempted to use a fine pointed brush (many of those purchased from a high line art supply store for seemingly ridiculous amounts of money). Then to find that when I was ready to apply whatever paint I happened to be using at the time, that the tip of the brush looked something like one of those "holds small parts" tools, with the bristles splaying out in every direction ! Grrrr ! Most annoying!

Well, thanks to Bob Lewen from MRC, a sample care package arrived in the mail, and I am pleased to say that these brushes do exactly what they were designed to do! Hold paint, and hold a point.

These brushes are available in synthetics, both round and flat styles in sizes from 000 through 12. The synthetics are priced from $ 2.00 to $ 6.00 based on size. Also available is a series of sable hair round pointed brushes, sized from 000 through 3, priced from $ 2.89 through $3.49. Based on what I have just seen, I've made my LAST trip to the pricey art supply stores for even pricier brushes.

And, as they say … "But wait! There's more!" Check out the handles on these sable brushes … I'm not sure of the proper terminology here, but "ergonomically correct" doesn't seem to get'er done. Early Rococo seems more appropriate! After all, they are Italian and the handles sort of remind me of Sophia Loren, but I digress…

Any how, please give these little beauties a try, you won't be disappointed. Thanks again to Bob Lewen of MRC for the review samples.
