The Revell of Germany 1/48 Typhoon (Eurofighter) kit has a high parts count including a myriad of weapons systems carried by the different operators of the aircraft. Included are seven stores pylons, 1 centerline and 6 wing. With all of these stores and pylons, Revell curiously left out the two most inner pylons, there should be 8 total. What is even more curious is that there are locator holes for these pylons molded. Two Mikes to the rescue! Offering a pair of highly detailed inner weapons pylons with separate sway braces, Two Mikes now allows the modeler to seriously "bomb-up" the Typhoon. These are a simple enhancement designed to fit the existing holes in the kit. I found them crisp and free of any mold flaws. They were easy to remove from the pour stubs as well. After opening the holes in the wing one pylon snapped right in. The other pylon I had to move the locating pin in order to fit the left pylon - but it was a simple fix that in no way detracted from the set.

I have collected a lot of images of the Typhoon and rarely do you see many of the pylons fitted since most pictures are taken at airshows. However there is a famous group of pictures of the two-seater trainer version with all the pylons fitted and loaded with bombs. More recently I found another image on Airliners.net of a single seater with the inner pylons fitted with LGBs, the outer most pylons with heat seeking missiles and the centerline station with a drop tank. So if you want a complete Typhoon, with all of the configuration options you will need this set and for $10 you will not be disappointed.

My thanks to Mike Reeves and Twomikes for the Review sample.
