[review image] I was really excited when I found out that Two Mikes just put out their first 1/72 resin accessory because of how good their 1/48th line is. The first is the Eurofighter Typhoon intake covers. They come molded in flawless red resin so the only painting that needs to be done is the black gasket that runs all the way around the covers and the handles. I went out and bought a Revell Eurofighter just so I could try this part out.

The Eurofighter and the Part

[review image] The Two Mikes instruction recommends the Revell model for use with these intake covers. Without the covers you can see right through the intakes and the kit looks like it is missing something, especially when we display most of our models in a wheels down and parked scene. As you can tell from the before and after pictures these intakes really add to the look and realism of the aircraft. Installation was also a snap because the covers just fit right in and all you need to do is add a little bit of Gator glue to hold them in. The instruction is short and sweet, with a photo of the covers installed on the real aircraft. The Revell instructions were a little vague on the angle of the bottom of the intake and the Two Mikes photo really helped me out with that also.

[review image] I highly recommend this product and can't wait to see what else they come out with next. Maybe just scaling down some of their already existing 1/48 accessories. On their web site they do say that they are open to all suggestions so if you can think of any wants, email them to 2Mikes.

Thanks to IPMS USA and Two Mikes Resin for the chance to build a Eurofighter and make it look better than it would have been.
