[review image] After purchasing Trumpeter's 1/32nd F-8 Crusader and inspecting the ejection seat, it was apparent that an enhancement would be necessary. Trumpeter usually hits the mark with pretty good detail but the Ejector Seat just didn't live up to that expectation. Fortunately for me the Aires Ejector Seat was among some items up for review. I was lucky enough to be chosen to review it.
[review image] The Trumpeter Seat comes in 8 pieces and after its assembled it could be a passable seat for some but I wanted a little more without spending too much time fussing with it. The Aires seat, which is the Martin Baker Mk-F7, hit the mark with its beautiful and precise detail that matches the real seat almost perfectly. Compare this seat to the one on this website (http://www.ejectionsite.com/mkf7seat.htm) and you will see that it is spot on. The kit is made out of resin, which includes the one-piece ejector seat, separate pull rings on the same resin block and a small Photo Etch Sprue containing the seat belts. This seat can be used on either of Trumpeters 1/32nd scale F8-E or F8-J Crusader kit.

After this seat is painted and detailed, it will definitely be an eye pleaser when looking into the cockpit. As always, Aires is on the mark with their details and quality workman ship of this finely molded Ejection Seat.

Thanks to Aires for the sample and the willingness to allow IPMS to review their products and a big thanks to IPMS for giving me the chance to review this little jewel.
