1/48 Sea Fury FB.11 Cockpit Set For the Trumpeter Kit

MSRP: $23.95 Website: www.aires.cz The Sea Fury was the Fleet Air Arm's last piston-engine fighter to serve in front-line Squadrons. The prototype Sea Fury first flew on 21 February 1945 and carried out deck landing trials in HMS Ocean in October of that year. During the Korean War the Hawker Sea Fury first saw action where one downed a North Korean jet, as well as conducting operations in the Suez crisis. But began being replaced by jet aircraft starting in 1953. The Aires set comes in their standard blister pack with instructions, cast resin pieces, a fret of photo etch parts and clear acetate sheet. The resin pieces are light gray in color, bubble free and flawless. And is a greatly improved drop in replacement of the kit parts. I think Aires has scored well with this Sea Fury cockpit as it appears to be reasonably accurate and will undoubtedly complement your next Trumpeter Sea Fury project. I whole heartedly recommend this replacement cockpit. I would like to thank Aires and IPMS USA for providing me with this review sample.
