MSRP: Aires: €4.00 (Approx. $5.50) QB: 3.30 (Approx. $4.50) Website: Aires: www.aires.cz Website: QuickBoost: www.quickboost.net The little Morane-Saulnier MS.406 kit by Hasegawa was released a number of years ago, and is a lovely little kit of this much-used French WWII fighter. One of the few problem areas with the kit is lack of proper undercarriage wells, and the oversized main wheels. These two new accessory sets from the Czech Republic take care of that. Quickboost's wheel wells are nicely cast and exhibit the characteristic smooth internal structure of the wheel wells, compared to the ugly step that features in the kit parts. The only potential problem with these replacement parts is exactly how to cut the kit plastic to make the resin fit - there's not a lot to work with. The Aires wheels are finely cast and are a direct replacement for the slightly oversized kit parts. The nicely defined hub detail compares well with photos of the real thing. Overall, these two small sets will enhance the vital undercarriage area of your model and hence are recommended. My thanks to Quickboost and Aires for the review samples.
