1/72 A-1H Skyraider (USAF) Wheels & Masks For the Hasegawa kit

MSRP: $7.50 Website: www.aires.cz Aires had produced a wheel set (plus vinyl paint masks) for the Hasegawa A-1H Skyraider used by the USAF. You should check photographs of the plane you are modeling to see if that aircraft had the "Navy" or "USAF" wheel hubs. If that plane had "Navy" wheel hubs then you could use the Aires set #7223 A-1H Navy wheels for their superior detail and ease of use. If the aircraft has the "USAF" wheel hubs then this set is a must for you. Both Aires sets provide better detail on the front and back, and have deeper tire thread. The Hasegawa tire is attached by four contact points (more clean up) and the molding process makes for weak tire treads, see the photograph. If you follow the instructions on the use of the painting masks the process will be simple as the photograph shows. I did use a dark wash to highlight the details. The vinyl masks are easy to apply and remove leaving no residue to clean up. I highly recommend this wheel and mask set and would like to thank IPMS/USA and Aires for the opportunity to review this product.
