1/72 - F-100D Super Sabre Exhaust Nozzle For the Italeri kit

MSRP: $17.49 Website: www.aires.cz This set is intended to be used on an Italeri F-100D kit. I used it in a Hasegawa kit and It fit very well after I removed a fair amount of interior styrene with my Dremel tool and rotary file. It comes packaged in a two compartment blister pack with foam supporting the three cast resin parts and one photo milled flame holder ring. A detailed exploded assembly diagram and part locator sheet is also included. The casting is excellent with precise, well executed detail. There were no air bubbles or deformation of the parts in my sample and the solid pouring sprue are easily removed with a fine toothed hobby saw. The mating surfaces are very accurate and only need small amounts of CA for assembly. Because of the close tolerances, the built up unit needs to be installed between the fuselage halves before they are glued together. This is a beautiful addition to any 1/72 scale F-100 kit. However, the enhanced detail is so good, it almost requires the addition of a cockpit and wheel well resin set to finish off your Century fighter.
