In the world of photoetch there are a few names out there but Eduard usually comes to mind first. The reason for this is there uncompromising attention to detail and quality. In the past when I've seen these sets I've always made comments like there is no way you can use all these parts. The folks at Eduard in their infinite wisdom now have come up with a new product, "Big Ed".

The folks have ingeniously put together several sets of their photo etch to give you everything you need for one project. In the F-16C set for the Tamiya kit, you get the masks for the canopy (Set EX252) and the set for the cockpit which is self adhesive and already painted so it's just a matter of cutting the piece from the fret and placing it where it needs to go (Set . I would suggest gluing it though for a more permanent feel. Then you get the undercarriage set to place on the landing gear and line the wheel wells and gear doors and when painted add a lot of depth and realism to an otherwise faceless area. Very nice. Next you have the Falcon weapon set. This is where it gets unbelievable, photo-etch for the armament in the kit. Now you can dress up the ordinance in the kit as well as the aircraft itself. Last but not least are the remove before flight tags to round out the impressive set.

Anyone who builds aircraft should invest in some "Big Ed". This is the way to dress up a model without doing resin. I'd like to thank Eduard and IPMS for our copy.
