MSRP: $18.95 Website: www.gfactormodels.com G-Factor is known for their great brass landing gear. This set, according to the packaging, is designed for the DML, Eduard and Tamiya kits. After looking them over, however, it is obvious that these will fit only the Tamiya kit without modifications. Molded on a brass tree, the level of detail is exceptional. There is small amount of flash on the legs -- nothing more than the kit parts though. The legs are straight and really nice. Unlike the kit offering, these gear contain the brake lines which are expertly reproduced. There is more detail on these parts than the kit offering. Along with all this detail is the added strength of the brass as a bonus. Simply remove the parts with a razor saw and clean them up with a #11 blade. Working with brass is no big deal. Don’t forget to prime the parts prior to painting. They can then be attached to the model with some five-minute epoxy. The added strength of the brass, as well as the exceptional level of detail, makes this a really nice set. A word of caution here because they are touted to be for the DML, Eduard and Tamiya but, without modification, they are really designed for only the Tamiya kit. Recommended.
