MSRP: $8.50 Website: www.quickboost.net When I was asked to review Quickboost's new JU88A-1 exhausts, designed for the Revell 1/32 JU88A-1 kit, I quickly opened my purchased kit and located the original exhausts. I did notice that the kit part was cleanly made but no holes existed in the 7 exhaust pipes, which make up one of four exhaust manifolds. I didn't think that there would be much room for improvements because it appeared to be a simple part of the engine. So now I was really looking forward to doing a side-by-side review. When I received the Quickboost parts, I opened the clear plastic package and was immediately taken by the smooth, clean texture and flash free lines of these pieces. Molded in a medium grey color, one can easily see the small but perfect openings in each of the exhaust pipes and the precise spacing between each pipe. Duplicating this work on the originals would be nearly impossible to do except by the extremely patient and the small minority of modelers with that sure of a hand, not to mention the time it would consume and how just one slip would ruin the piece. Directions were not included because they are not necessary. For just a small price, MSRP- $8.50, it is definitely worth the investment for this small jewel to add detail that would be admired by everyone. I would highly recommend this upgrade at twice the price. I think that these exhausts would fit on any kit of a 1/32 JU88. I can't wait to see how much these exhausts will enhance the look of the front end of my model of this aircraft after building it.
