MSRP: $8.50 Website: www.quickboost.net The Replacement Part Quickboost has provided an accurate tail rudder for your C-47. The replacement parts arrive in a clear plastic envelope which includes a foldout sheet of paper and a stiff paper stock backer. The foldout sheet includes a line image of the replacement part, as well as a note "recommended kit: Trumpeter". There are no instructions provided or required to replace the kit parts. The kit rudder is cast as two pieces with the trim tab as a separate piece. This replaces the original Trumpeter parts.

The picture above shows the difference between the Trumpeter kit part (left), the real or actual tail rudder (middle), and the replacement part from quickboost (right). Research Upon looking at a photo of the real airplane's rudder, it is clear that the Quickboost part is very accurate. There are no rivets and the separated trim tab is a great feature. Also, the replacement rudder shows the soft depressions of the fabric between the frame-work (as evident on the real plane). Conclusion This set is highly recommended if you want something to improve the kit. Thanks to Quickboost and IPMS for the opportunity to review this fine improvement for the Trumpeter kit.
