1/48 A6M5 Zero Exhausts For the Tamiya kit

MSRP: $4.95 Website: www.quickboost.net This is the new set of resin hollowed-out exhausts from Quickboost for the new Tamiya A6M5 zero kit. They are a simple drop in replacement for the kit exhausts which are nicely done, but not hollowed out. They are cast on one small grey runner and there is very little to do to separate them and install them. Cleanup should be a snap, but remember to wash them before painting. I myself would recommend painting them a light brown or rust color, then put a dark wash on them and do a bit of dry brushing with some metallic's and light grays, but that's up to the individual modeler. The 4 parts on the Quickboost set are meant to replace the kit parts numbered 11, 13 and 14 and mount to either part number 6 or 12, which are the open and closed cowl flaps and part #5 which is the lower exhaust fairing. It's just that simple. Quickboost parts are great replacement parts which bring detailing the small items to a new level!!!! My thanks to Quickboost for the sample!
