Website: www.quickboost.net Correct Ventral Fin Stock # QB 72 213 MSRP: $4.99 In comparing the kit part and the Quickboost replacement to what is on the actual aircraft, the replacement is much more accurate. The ventral fin on the F-105 (Figure 1a) has an "S" shape to it that is not present on the kit. The kit also has rivet and panel line detail not present. In order to install the replacement, careful cutting will be required to separate the fin from the fuselage halves. (Figure 2a) Once you do, the Quickboost piece will make it much more accurate and attractive. Pitot Tube Stock # QB 72 217 MSRP: $4.99 In comparing the kit part to the Quickboost replacement to that of the actual aircraft, the replacement is the clear winner. (Figure 1) Side by side, the kit part looks more like a refueling probe than a pitot. (Figure 2) Quickboost was thoughtful enough to include two tubes in the bag, just in case of loss or breakage.
