MSRP: $4.99 Website: www.quickboost.net Quickboost continues to provide modelers with the means to improve their Fujimi Mig-21 kits, this time in the form of air scoops. Mig-21s have several external air scoops mainly on the aft fuselage and the Quickboost air scoops are meant to be a direct replacement for the ones provided in the Fujimi kits. They are cast in the fine gray resin often used by Quickboost that yields delicate details and no flaws. The advantage of the Quickboost air scoops are no seams to clean up, a more refined profile and no need to drill out the front of the air scoops as they come already recessed and with very thin walls. They are easily removed and the instructions clearly give each a number and what part they correspond to in the Fujimi kit. One just has to use CA glue to attach the resin air scoops to the plastic fuselage. The air scoop labeled #4 is the only one that is located up front and the instructions shows you the area on the Fujimi fuselage that needs to be removed so the Quickboost air scoop can be attached. There is no reason why these air scoops could not be used on other companies' Mig-21 kits as well. I can highly recommend these Quickboost air scoops to improve your Mig-21 models.
